about
Apopheum takes its name from apophenia — the human impulse to find meaning in chaos. For me, that impulse becomes a practice: I am chaotic by nature, but when I create, I harness it and shape it into something tangible.
For me Apopheum is a way of cultivating the mind — of noticing how everything is connected, like constellations in the night sky, roots beneath the earth, or veins under the skin — each thread forming patterns that lead towards new ways of seeing, new knowledge perhaps.
I make every piece of jewelry by hand, using various metals, pearls, seaglass, stones, and fabric — materials that resist perfection and stay true to themselves.
These jewels are my way of sharing a glimpse of the world as I see it: a little mysterious, a little playful, and entirely mine.
